Rosa Bonheur the French painter Google Doodle celebrates of 200th birthday

Google's latest logo tribute is to a French artist born 200 years ago March 16.

Rosa Bonheur Born in Bordeaux, France, in 1822

She was the first woman to receive France’s Cross of the Legion of Honor, in 1894.

Raimond Bonheur was a San Simonian, a member of the French political group active during the first half of the 19th century

Her early artistic education was facilitated by her father, a minor landscape painter

The woman displayed is supposed to be Bonheur, who is known for her work as an animal painter and sculptor
