Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi, arrested on suspicion of DUI

Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was arrested on suspicion of DUI in California on Saturday, according to police records.

Pelosi was arrested late Saturday night in Napa County, according to police records.

He was arrested at 11:44 p.m. PT Saturday and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher.

The 82-year-old's bail was set at $5,000, police records show.

"The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast," a statement from Drew Hammill.

The congresswoman on Sunday attended the graduation ceremony at Brown University in Providence, R.I., where she delivered the commencement speech.

Nancy Pelosi on Saturday was in Rhode Island, where earlier in the day she gave the commencement address at Brown University.

Paul Pelosi, a native of San Francisco, has been married to Nancy Pelosi since 1963. The two have five children together.
