Caleb Swanigan former NBA Player Dies At 25

Caleb Swanigan passed away from natural causes at the age of 25 on Monday night at a Fort Wayne hospital.

Purdue Men's Basketball team first announced Swanigan's passing in a tweet on Tuesday morning.

The Portland Trail Blazers drafted Swanigan in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft.

Highly recruited, Swangian signed with Purdue after initially committing to Michigan State.

Swanigan averaged 14.4 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in two seasons at Purdue.

The 6-foot-9 Swanigan played three years in the NBA with the Trailblazers and the Sacramento Kings, averaging 2.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists.

Swanigan earned an educational history diploma from Purdue and helped organize a fundraiser for homelessness.

In 2015, Swanigan helped his high school basketball team win a state title.
