Elena Rybakina wins the women's Wimbledon

Elena wins Wimbledon women's singles title on Saturday, her first grand slam, and first for Kazakhstan.

She beat world No. 3 Ons Jabeur in three sets, coming from a set down to win 3-6 6-2 6-2.

She was born in Russia but has represented Kazakhstan since 2018.

She was the youngest women's finalist at Wimbledon since 2015 when Garbine Muguruza was 21.

Rybakina said "It's true, I did not expect to be in the second week of a Grand Slam at Wimbledon.

About two hours of big swinging and plenty of sprinting later, she had won the championship at the All England Club with a 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Ons Jabeur.

The big-serving Rybakina, who had dropped only one set in the whole tournament before the final.

Not only did she win to become the first player from her country to win a grand slam title, but she also became the youngest Wimbledon champion in 2011.
