The platform will likely arrive as a successor to the Dimensity 1100 because it will be a step below the Dimensity 9000, Mediatek’s true flagship platform. Interestingly, this new chip was called the Dimensity 7000 at first, so we expect this to be the last renaming before the product launches next month.

According to an IT report, the chipmaker has predicted that the revenue for the first quarter of 2022 would be between NT USD131.2 billion (around USD4.7 billion) to NTUSD141.5 billion (around USD5.1 billion), which is an increase of about 2 percent to 10 percent over the previous quarter, and an increase of 21 percent to 31 percent year-on-year.

Cai Lixing, CEO of MediaTek has stated that the surge in revenue of the company has been made possible by the increase in demand for 5G as well as the shipment of the company’s flagship Dimensity 9000 chipset.
