Shri Ram Kumar Singh ji has started a new scheme on 19th March 2021. Whose name is Gram Ujala Scheme . Under this scheme, the citizens will be given LED bulb for only Rs.10. The best thing about this scheme is that the government is not giving any help or subsidy in this because of the low price of the bulb. Convergence Energy Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited. CESL Government of India Energy Company is the world’s largest energy service company, Government of India has 100% stake in this company, which is a joint venture of Power Finance Corporation, NTPC, REC Limited and Power Grid.

Union Energy Minister Shri RK Singh ji launched Gram Ujala Scheme 2022 to provide high quality LED bulbs at low rates in the village on 19th March 2021.has started. Under this scheme, Conversion Energy Services Limited, a subsidiary of the government company Energy Efficiency Services Limited, is providing LED bulbs to rural homes in rural districts at the rate of Rs.10 per bulb. The money of LED bulbs is very high, due to which many citizens in the villages cannot buy these LED bulbs and they run their work with old high voltage bulbs only. But now for such citizens, the government is giving LED bulbs at a low cost under the village scheme, so that electricity can also be saved and the electricity bill of the homes of these citizens can also be reduced a lot. The steps taken by the government for the citizens of the villages will definitely prove to be very beneficial, these bulbs will be helpful in reducing their electricity bills.

Objective of Gram Ujala Scheme
Even today 300 million or more than 300 million citizens are living in yellow bulbs in India. If these yellow bulbs are replaced with LED bulbs, then 40773 million kilowatts of electricity can be saved every year. And with this it will also help in reducing the selection of carbon dioxide gas by 30 million tonnes on an annual basis. And the Gram Ujala scheme will prove to be very beneficial in saving energy in our country.
Implementation of Gram Ujala Program
According to the information received by CESL , villages of five states will be included in the first phase of Gram Ujala Yojana 2022 , in which LED bulbs will be made available at affordable rates. In this phase about 1.5 crore LED bulbs will be distributed to rural households in villages of Arrah in Bihar, villages in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, Nagpur in Maharashtra and villages in western Gujarat. The Gram Ujala program will be funded entirely through carbon credits in 2021 and will be the first program in India to run as such. This scheme was started digitally from Ara district of Bihar. Inaugurating the Gram Ujala programme, the Minister said, “It is a very happy moment for us that we have been able to find a solution to provide LED bulbs at affordable rates and high quality to our people living in villages.

What is the maximum number of bulbs a person can take?
Under this scheme, 7 votes and 12 watt LED bulbs will be provided to the families of villages for Rs 10. To get the LED bulb, you will have to give your old yellow bulbs along with 10 rupees. Under the Gram UJALA Scheme 2021 , a person can take a maximum of 5 LED bulbs and they have to deposit their traditional yellow power now. And it is necessary to have a meter installed in the houses of the villages.

Union Minister for Energy and Renewable Energy R.K. Singh launched the Gram Ujala Yojana in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of PM Modi on March 24, 2021. Under this scheme, the government will provide bulbs for Rs.10. The Ministry of Power mentioned in a press release that under the Gram Ujala scheme, Convergence Energy Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of EESL- Energy Efficiency Services Limited, which provides high quality LED bulbs.

How much time warranty will be available on the bulb
In the first phase of Gram Ujala Scheme 2021 , LED bulbs of 7 and 12 boards will be provided on which 4 hours of 3 years will also be given. This help is only for the citizens of the districts of the villages. Therefore, this assistance will be provided only in the villages of the above areas. Shri Alok Kumar, Secretary, Power Ministry said about the Gram Ujala scheme that it is a very important scheme which will also deal with the challenge of climate change.

The Gram Ujala program has been started by the Central Government in collaboration with Power and Renewable Energy. Under the Gram UJALA program , in the first phase, LED bulbs will be distributed in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Ara in Bihar, Nagpur in Maharashtra, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh, and some areas of western Gujarat.
