Reports, List of Journals etc. are prepared and made available in the
Library. The Library takes utmost care to bring the relevant new titles to the attention of faculty members by 'Alert Service', displaying new titles in 'New Addition' revolving stand and informing the users over telephone. Users are kept informed about the latest literature in there area of
interest by different means. Library extends literature search service to users on demand. Users can search the Library documents from their desktop inside the campus. Search can be made by access points like title, author, publisher, accession number, ISBN, subject etc. The search can be refined by using various other parameters. The result of the search is displayed as a linked web page and details can be obtained by following the link. The Library catalogue can be accessed on the campus wide network by the link http://library1/opac . This can be browsed through IE in windows environment. Facility to browse Internet is provided for users. Two systems are dedicated for this purpose. CESS Library has membership of other Libraries. Users can make use of facilities available there The important news items and discussion appearing in News Papers and other information resources are displayed in the notice board and also brought to the notice of the Scientists. The Library takes an active part in user orientation to familiarize users
with various resources and facilities available in the Library. |
